Volunteer with Minds of Light

Our volunteer mentors and meetup hosts make this program possible. Tell us you're interested and we'll follow up with the roles, the time commitment, and how our mentor orientation works.

We'll only email you about volunteering.

Ways to volunteer

Minds of Light runs on volunteers. Here's where you can help — every mentoring role includes full orientation, training, and ongoing support.

Volunteer Mentor

Work one-on-one with an autistic or neurodivergent adult through the L.I.G.H.T. framework — emotional awareness, communication, and self-advocacy. Virtual, about an hour every couple of weeks. No clinical background needed; we train you.

Peer Mentor

For autistic and neurodivergent adults (18+) with lived experience. The same mentoring role, with the added value of having been there. Peer mentors are trained, get their own dedicated support, and are compensated or credited where possible.

Meetup Host

Help run a monthly local meetup — two hours of networking, a short talk on an autism-related topic, and facilitated social time. Want to start one in your area? We'll help you set it up.
